| The Maine School is situated in the pine
forest, with an open campus of sidewalks connecting the buildings.
Some of the buildings are historic one room school houses that were
moved to the site in the 1920's from all around the area. Hence, the
name, the Maine School. However, the school is well funded and is
continually upgrading all the buildings and the playground and ball
fields. This year the school built a big new gym and cafeteria with
State Lottery money. We also raised the funds to greatly improve the
baseball field and can now host games.
Maine School is proud to announce that the year 1999-2000
Stanford Nine Scores beat most national averages. The school offers
a good education, in a safe environment. The children thrive in a
family - like atmosphere. Upon graduation from 6th grade, we bus the
students in to Flagstaff Junior High or Flagstaff High School, which
are located across the street from each other, in historic downtown
Flagstaff. |
